Naseer Soomro, recognized as Pakistan’s tallest man, passed away in Shikarpur on Monday after a prolonged illness. He was 55 years old. His funeral prayers will be held in Shikarpur on Tuesday (today).

Standing at an impressive 7 feet 9 inches, Naseer Soomro was considered one of the tallest individuals in the world. His extraordinary height—three feet taller than the average person—earned him national and international recognition, bringing pride to Pakistan on the global stage.

Acknowledging his unique stature, the government of Pakistan offered Naseer Soomro a job with the national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). His towering presence made him a symbol of pride and highlighted Pakistan’s diversity and uniqueness.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over Naseer Soomro’s passing. He praised Soomro’s contributions and the recognition he brought to the country, stating that his legacy would be remembered for years to come.

Naseer Soomro’s height made him a global icon, and his story inspired countless people worldwide. His life was a testament to overcoming challenges and embracing uniqueness, impacting those who knew him and those who followed his journey.
