Naseem Shah Fined for Code of Conduct Breach in PSL Match

Naseem Shah of Islamabad United was fined 10% of his match fee for a level 1 violation of the HBL PSL’s Code of Conduct during their game against Multan Sultans at Pindi Cricket Stadium.

The infraction, involving the kicking of stumps after the final ball, fell under Article 2.2. Naseem’s admission of guilt and acceptance of the proposed sanctions by match referee Roshan Mahanama negated the need for a hearing. On-field umpires Ruchira Palliyaguruge, and Muhammad Asif levied the charge.

The Multan Sultans were also penalized for a slow over-rate in the same match, being one over short after adjustments. The referee’s decision led to a 10% match fee fine for each team member, as Article 2.22 of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct stipulated.
