Narowal, Punjab: Narowal electric buses reached the city on Saturday, as 11 vehicles arrived under directives from the Punjab government.
The buses will operate on six routes in Narowal, according to the Regional Transport Authority secretary. The official said the fare for electric buses had been fixed at Rs. 20.
The buses will serve stops in Shakargarh, Zafarwal, Qila Ahmadabad, Qila Kalarwala, and Badu Malhi. One bus will operate within Narowal city, the Regional Transport Authority secretary said.
The official said each bus could cover 80 kilometres on a single charge. The Regional Transport Authority secretary said more electric buses were likely to reach Narowal in the near future.

The Narowal electric buses rollout forms part of the Punjab government’s effort to expand public transport access in district-level cities.
