The Family Registration Certificate (FRC) issued by the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is a crucial document that records details about all family members of a registered citizen in Pakistan. It serves as a foundational document necessary for obtaining additional certifications from NADRA.
Citizens can acquire the FRC based on birth, marriage, or adoption. The certificate details a citizen’s parents and siblings in the birth category. For those acquiring it through marriage, it includes information on a citizen’s spouse and children. The adoption category lists the guardian’s details along with the adopted individual.

It’s important to note that individuals lacking a NADRA-issued 13-digit ID number will not be featured on the FRC. Citizens can apply for this certificate by visiting a NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or online through the Pak-Identity website. Pakistanis residing abroad must visit their respective mission offices to obtain the certificate.
