ISLAMABAD: A NADRA tracking ID warning urged citizens on August 9 not to share application details in social media comments amid misleading information online.
The National Database and Registration Authority said it would not provide tracking information through public comment threads. The measure aims to protect citizens’ personal data.
Instead, users should rely on NADRA’s official platforms for application information and assistance with identity documents.
Citizens can send their tracking IDs by SMS to 8400, according to the spokesperson. They can also call 051-111-786-100 or dial 1777 from a mobile phone.

NADRA also advised citizens to avoid unverified accounts, links and messages. In particular, users should not disclose tracking IDs or other personal information in comments on NADRA’s social media pages. However, the NADRA’s warning did not announce changes to application procedures or identity-document requirements.
