National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Wednesday refused to provide details of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s children to Arsalan Iftikhar, saying that a citizen’s data is a huge responsibility and that the family registration certificate cannot be provided to anyone not related to the family.
Arsalan Iftikhar, son of former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had contacted NADRA officials to obtain Imran Khan’s family registration certificate and sought time for meeting. Arsalan submitted that PTI chief concealed his alleged love child Tyrian Khan; therefore disqualifying himself from Article 62 and 63 of the constitution.
Responding to Arsalan Iftikhar’s request, NADRA refused to provide details saying that NADRA is not obliged to issue details to anyone not related to the family.
