The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a significant update for its Pak-ID mobile application to simplify identity registration, making it more accessible for all citizens, particularly parents with young children.

This digital upgrade is part of NADRA’s broader plan to modernise its services. It reduces the need for in-person visits to registration centres. The latest Pak-ID app update focuses on user convenience and accessibility. Key enhancements include:

  • Gallery Photo Upload for Children: Parents can now upload a photograph directly from their mobile gallery when applying for a Child Registration Certificate (CRC) for children under three. This removes a significant hurdle for parents of infants.
  • Family Record Updates: Citizens can now update the records of unregistered family members directly through the app. This streamlines the process of keeping family information current.
  • Free Biometric Access: The app now supports application submission without mandatory fingerprint or facial verification. This feature improves accessibility for users who may have difficulty with biometrics.
  • Improved Urdu Interface: Enhanced Urdu language support provides clearer instructions and better navigation for native speakers, ensuring the app is accessible to a wider population.

How to Access These Services

NADRA encourages all citizens to download or update the Pak-ID app on their Android or iOS devices to use these new features. The app serves as a complete portal for NADRA services. Users can also:

  • Track their ID applications in real-time.
  • Book appointments at NADRA centres.
  • Pay fees online using popular services like Easypaisa, JazzCash, and e-Sahulat.

The recent update includes a new feature for tracking application status online. These changes allow citizens to manage most CNIC, B-Form, and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) services directly from their phones.
