The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will organise open courts in Karachi this week. The initiative follows directives from Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to address public concerns regarding identity documents directly.
The open courts aim to provide on-the-spot solutions for issues related to Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), Family Registration Certificates (FRCs), and other essential documents.
NADRA announced two open court sessions scheduled for Friday, August 29, 2025. The sessions will be held at the following locations and times:
- Mega Centre, SITE Industrial Area, Siemens Chowrangi Zone: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Mega Center, Plot D 1-15, Block L, District Central, North Nazimabad: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Citizens are encouraged to attend the session closest to their residence. Attendees should bring all relevant documents to facilitate the quick resolution of their queries. These open courts are part of NADRA’s broader effort to enhance service transparency and public accessibility. The initiative reflects a commitment to bringing government services directly to citizens.
For detailed information on NADRA office hours and services in Karachi, citizens can consult the NADRA Karachi guide on Startup Pakistan. NADRA serves as Pakistan’s primary agency for managing national identity records. Its responsibilities include issuing CNICs, B-Forms, and other critical identification documents.
Digital Services Through PaID App
To complement in-person services, NADRA offers the Pak-ID mobile application. This digital platform allows users to apply for identity documents, upload required files, track application status, and make secure payments directly from their mobile devices.
The app is particularly beneficial for overseas Pakistanis and citizens seeking hassle-free access to services without visiting physical offices. This initiative follows a recent upgrade to the Pak-ID app, which introduced a feature allowing citizens to track their application status online. Most services related to CNICs, B-Forms, and FRCs are now available digitally.
