On August 3, 2025, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) announced a week-long registration drive for minorities, scheduled from August 4 to August 11, in conjunction with National Minorities Day, to promote equal rights and citizenship by facilitating the issuance and renewal of identity documents for minority communities.

NADRA’s official statement emphasised, “You are allowed to have the same rights as every other citizen,” underscoring its commitment to inclusivity. The campaign deploys Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs) across various regions and encourages visits to NADRA centres for convenience.

The initiative aligns with NADRA’s strategic vision for promoting digital inclusion. In tandem with this effort, NADRA has simplified government job applications through the Pak ID mobile app. Users can now apply through a Single Sign-On (SSO) career portal, eliminating the need for paperwork. This digital transformation improves accessibility and efficiency, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to modernising civic services.

The minority registration campaign has been praised as a step toward empowering marginalised communities and fostering national unity. By simplifying identity document access, NADRA ensures no citizen is left behind, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to equal opportunity and solidarity.

This initiative promotes inclusivity, ensuring minority communities can access critical services and participate fully in civic life. It reflects NADRA’s role in driving digital transformation and social equity. For accurate updates on Pakistan’s civic policies, rely on trusted sources to avoid misinformation.
