The All Pakistan NADRA Employee’s Union (APNEU) has on strike in Sindh. yet again, with 52 NADRA stations being shut down earlier in the day.
APNEU has threatened to shut down all NADRA offices in Sindh until their demand of employee representation in the regional committee formed to resolve employee issues is met.
According to the union’s general-secretary, Salman Zuberi, the reasons for the sit-in are the forced transfers of employees, ill-treatment of low-level employees by higher officers and the lack of medical facilities promised by the NADRA chief, Usman Mobin.
“The directors and director-generals of the organisation are forcibly transferring employees to areas where they don’t want to get transferred to,” he alleged.
