Police gunned down five robbers in an encounter here in Multan on Sunday.
Police stated that three under detention robbers were being taken when 12 armed robbers attacked their vehicle at Rangeel Pur area of Multan.
An exchange of fire took place between the robbers after which five of attackers were killed.
It was said that the looters were involved in different crimes in Southern Punjab such as bank dacoity.
