In a press statement from London on Saturday, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) head Altaf Hussain lamented that “innocent people are being rounded up in raids being conducted in our homes.”
Hussain said his party doesn’t believe in politics of violence and militancy, adding that there is no room for criminal elements in the party’s ranks.
MQM still stands by Pakistan Army for the sake of the country,” he maintained.
“Saulat Mirza was made to memorize a written script in his death cell after issuance of his black warrant,” he alleged. “It is unprecedented. No such thing can be found in the world’s history.”
He said that MQM’s reputation was damaged across the world by making unfounded allegations against his party.
“We were told that targeted operation will be indiscriminately, but MQM is being victimized,” he said.
