KARACHI: A Mir Raza Ali audio message obtained by police mentions a PKR 3 million payment plan as investigators examine his financial dealings and death.
A man identified as Ali Shad provided the alleged WhatsApp recording to investigators. Police also collected information from several people who had financial transactions with the entrepreneur.
In the recording, Ali allegedly proposes issuing three PKR 1 million cheques at intervals of 10 days. However, investigators have yet to authenticate the audio or establish its relevance to the case.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Health Department restored the original eight-member medical board for Ali’s exhumation and fresh post-mortem. The department reversed an earlier change after his family objected to a replacement panel.
Karachi Police Surgeon Dr Sumaiya Syed will lead the restored board. It also includes forensic expert Dr Farah Waseem, pathologist Professor Dr Naseem Ahmed and Citizens-Police Liaison Committee identification expert Amir Hassan Khan.
