TEHRAN: Khamenei’s funeral prayers drew huge crowds at the Imam Khomeini Grand Musalla on Sunday, as Iranian media said senior cleric Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani led rites for the late supreme leader.
Iranian state-linked outlets said prayers were also offered for four members of Khamenei’s family killed in the same February 28 strike, including his daughter Boshra Khamenei and granddaughter Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani.
The Associated Press reported that senior Iranian officials attended the ceremony, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei.
