Megyn Kelly criticised North West’s growing public profile on Tuesday, accusing Kim Kardashian and Kanye West of pushing their 13-year-old daughter toward fame too quickly.
Speaking on “The Megyn Kelly Show” alongside Dr. Drew, Kelly focused on North’s appearance on the cover of Dazed magazine’s fall issue, photographed by director Gus Van Sant.
Kelly also pointed to North’s emerging music career and planned stage appearances, arguing that her parents were accelerating her path into celebrity without fully considering the pressures that can accompany early fame.
Dr. Drew supported Kelly’s concerns and questioned the level of parental involvement, although he offered no evidence for those claims.
Commentator Meghan McCain has also criticised decisions surrounding North’s increasingly public image, though she did not directly name Kardashian or West.
North has previously said that her parents continue to set limits on some personal choices despite her growing public career, including restrictions on certain piercings.
