Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has mandated that officials distribute laptops to deserving students under the ‘CM Punjab Laptop Scheme’ within 90 days.
Additionally, she has ordered laptops for 2,000 deserving minority students. Top achievers from the Matriculation and Intermediate (F.Sc) exams will also receive laptops and a Guard of Honour.
A press release from the CM’s media wing outlined that selected students would receive the latest 13th-generation core i7 laptops under this scheme.
The initiative extends beyond laptops; scholarships will be awarded to students at 30,000 government and 10,000 private schools across Punjab. Specifically, 18,000 female students will benefit from the Chief Minister’s Honhar Scholarship Program.

In an earlier statement, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif noted that the Punjab government would allocate over Rs 125 billion annually to cover the full educational costs for 25,000 students.
During a meeting with the Education Department, she instructed officials also to recognize the achievements of top students and their teachers from all education boards in Punjab with awards.
Chief Minister Maryam approved the Students Scholarship Programme and Laptop Scheme and directed immediate action for their implementation. She reiterated the government’s commitment to investing over Rs 125 billion annually in educating 25,000 students.
