Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz kicked off election campaign for her mother Begum Kulsoom Nawaz in NA-120 by-election.
Maryam Nawaz on Saturday chaired a meeting in Lahore to discuss campaign strategy for the NA-120 by-election.
According to PML(N) media cell, the meeting was attended by former information minister Pervaiz Rashid and federal minister Pervaiz Malik.
Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, addressing media following a consultative session of PML-N leaders earlier today, said Maryam Nawaz will soon be going out into the field as part of the election campaign.
PML-N candidate for NA-1230, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, being diagnosed with cancer, is unable to participate in the campaign and is undergoing treatment in London.
The NA-120 seat fell vacant following Nawaz’s disqualification by the Supreme Court in the Panama Papers case.
