The 2026 Grammy Award nominations showcase a significant shift in the music landscape. They celebrate a wide array of global voices and genres. With 95 categories and two new awards, the list is one of the most diverse in the event’s history.
Kendrick Lamar leads all artists with nine nominations, including Album of the Year for “GNX.” Lady Gaga follows as a top contender with seven nominations of her own.
The Album of the Year category reflects this diversity. It features Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX,” Lady Gaga’s “Mayhem,” and a historic nomination for Bad Bunny’s “Debí Tirar Más Fotos.” This marks the first time a fully Spanish-language album has been nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year in the same year.

Two new categories debut this year: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. The eligibility period for the awards ran from August 31, 2024, to August 30, 2025.
