Margot Robbie, 35, has captivated audiences with her postpartum physique. The actress welcomed her son with her husband, Tom Ackerley, in October 2024. Her stunning red-carpet appearances for the film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, alongside Colin Farrell, have drawn admiration from fans.

However, a troubling online trend has emerged. Inspired by Robbie’s figure, some women have posted videos claiming to eat “ice or air” to achieve a similar look. This unhealthy starvation trend has raised serious concerns. Robbie herself remains unaware of this behaviour.

South African influencer Love Lucy Claire addressed the issue on Instagram on September 17, 2025. She criticised the starvation trend, sharing that she was eating a nourishing meal of rice and beef stew at eight months postpartum. “You don’t get in shape through starvation,” she explained.

Lucy highlighted the dangers of starvation, including the binge-restrict cycle it triggers, leading to inflammation and low energy. It hampers the body’s ability to heal and increases anxiety and depression, undermining mental and physical health.

Restrictive dieting can also spoil joyful moments, Lucy noted. “Food is part of every celebration.” Starvation often leads to isolation and self-criticism. Although recovery is challenging, it is essential for overall well-being.

She encouraged her followers to embrace nourishment, saying, “Recovery is painful but liberating.” Balanced meals that include protein, carbohydrates, and fats support overall vitality and mental health.

Robbie’s postpartum spotlight illustrates the power of celebrity influence. While unhealthy trends can harm fans, Lucy’s message promotes safe, sustainable health choices.

Margot Robbie’s postpartum figure inspires many, but experts warn against dangerous diet trends. Love Lucy Claire’s call for healthy eating offers timely guidance.
