Major General Azhar Naveed Hayat has taken command as Director General Pakistan Rangers Punjab on Saturday.
The outgoing Director General Major General Umar Farooq Burki handed over command to him in a ceremony held at the paramilitary headquarters. The event was attended by sector commanders and other senior officers of the rangers.
The departing DG commended the professional capabilities of the force. He lauded their efforts and said that the Rangers was an unparalleled force.
