A 51-year-old man died after falling from an elevated position during a Goose concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday night, police said.
New York City Police said officers responded to a 911 call around 9:51 p.m. They found the man unconscious and unresponsive with injuries indicating a fall.
The man was taken from the Midtown Manhattan arena to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police had not released his name by Sunday morning, according to the source content.
Connecticut-based rock band Goose was performing the second night of a two-night booking at the venue. The source content said the incident occurred inside Madison Square Garden.

Goose said in an Instagram statement that it was “deeply saddened and heartbroken” by the incident. The band extended sympathy to those affected and thanked emergency personnel and venue staff.
The group also posted on Facebook after the concertgoer’s death. Officials had not confirmed by Sunday morning what height the man fell from, according to the source content.
