The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the immediate remove containers throughout Punjab including Lahore.
A full bench of LHC headed by Justice Mahmood Bhatti heard the case pertaining to the blocking of roads by placing containers throughout the province.
The court said, “no one will be allowed to violate basic rights of locals in the name of security”.
The bench was dismayed at Punjab IG after he expressed his ignorance over the total number of containers in the province.
The PML-N-led government has blocked main roads in Lahore and Islamabad by placing containers to prevent the march of PTI and PAT scheduled on August 14.
