The statement of Zainab Jamil, a woman critically injured in a shooting outside her beauty salon in Lahore’s Defense area, has surfaced, raising serious allegations against her husband.
Zainab suspects her husband’s involvement in orchestrating the attack, having previously received threats which she believes were linked to him.
In response, the police launched a thorough investigation and arrested two employees connected to the incident.
Zainab, who owns the salon, was attacked by two individuals on motorcycles on Wednesday afternoon, sustaining six gunshot wounds. Upon regaining consciousness, she issued a video statement detailing the severe threats received via phone and letters sent directly to her salon. Although she could not identify the assailants, she described how they had ambushed her as she parked her car in front of her business.
The attack was captured on CCTV, showing the assailants approaching her vehicle and firing multiple shots before quickly fleeing the area.

An FIR was lodged against two unknown attackers based on a complaint by Zainab’s uncle. Within her statement to the police, Zainab expressed ongoing conflicts with her husband over the past two years, which she believes could be the motive behind the attack.
The police are committed to resolving the case swiftly and hope to apprehend the assailants soon. Zainab has also contacted the Chief Minister, seeking further assistance to ensure her safety and bring the perpetrators to justice.
