LAHORE, Punjab: A medical report confirmed sexual assault of one foreign woman in the Lahore foreign women assault case, while DNA and forensic analyses remain pending, police sources said.
Investigators said the report indicated that three arrested suspects allegedly assaulted the woman. Police sources said the suspects also forced the women to transfer USD 19,000 to digital wallets.
Investigators are examining a cryptocurrency dispute linked to previous investments of USD 400,000 to USD 500,000.
Police said the accused allegedly demanded the return of the cryptocurrency funds. DNA samples collected from the victims and suspects have been sent to a forensic laboratory.
Investigators have also sent the accused’s mobile phones for forensic analysis. Officials said the investigation will proceed after DNA and device reports are received.

Earlier, the victim, Astrid Gabriela Robinson Bracho, recorded her statement before a judicial magistrate under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
According to the statement, she alleged that armed men stormed the house where she and her friend Stephani Adriana were staying.
She said the attackers tied them up, confined them in a room and demanded access to a computer and cryptocurrency funds.
