LAHORE, Punjab: A Lahore family shooting left five people dead in Barkat Colony, Chohang, on Tuesday morning, police said.
Police identified the man as 25-year-old Imran Shaukat. Officers said he went to his estranged wife Samia’s family home after a marital dispute.
According to police, Samia had been staying with her family after separating from her husband. The couple had married about six months earlier.
Police said Imran opened fire after Samia refused to return with him. Samia, her father Ali Khan, mother Shamaila and brother Zeeshan were killed.

Authorities said Imran then died by suicide at the scene. Police arrived at the house after the incident and initiated legal proceedings. The bodies were transferred to Jinnah Hospital Lahore for post-mortem examinations.
