Lady Constable Malik Naz was martyred in a terrorist attack in Khuzdar, Balochistan, police said on Monday, as officials also reported a separate intelligence-based operation in Bannu in which two militants were killed.

Malik Naz lost her life on April 19, 2026, when attackers struck in the Bajoi area of Khuzdar District. A head constable was also killed in the same attack.

Officials said Malik Naz had joined the Levies Force in 2013 under the Shaheed quota after her husband, Abdul Ghani, was killed in a targeted attack in 2011 while serving in the force.

Police said she continued her husband’s legacy with dedication and courage. She is survived by a son and two daughters.

Funeral prayers for Malik Naz and the head constable killed in the attack were offered in Quetta. DIG Khuzdar Wazir Khan Nasir, other police officials and local residents attended the prayers.

The two personnel were later laid to rest with full state honours.

In a separate development, the Inter-Services Public Relations said security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bannu District on April 19, 2026, following reports of militants’ presence.

According to the ISPR statement, an exchange of fire followed, and two militants linked to what the military described as Fitna al-Khwarij were killed. Those killed included Waheedullah alias Muktiar, identified by the military as a ring leader, along with a suicide bomber.

ISPR said security forces recovered a suicide jacket, weapons and ammunition from the militants. The operation formed part of broader efforts to target militant activity in the area.
