Dhaka, Bangladesh: Labaid Hospitals marked World Hypertension Day on Sunday with a technical seminar on regular blood pressure checks and joint care.
The seminar carried the theme “Controlling Hypertension Together! Check Your Blood Pressure Regularly, Defeat the Silent Killer.” It brought together consultants, doctors, nurses and senior officials.
Ahmad Dawood, FCA, FCMA, CEO of Labaid Hospitals, welcomed participants and introduced the expert panel. Dr Abduz Zaher chaired the session.
Dr APM Sohrabuzzaman and Dr Lutfor Rahman served as co-chairmen. Dr Md Mohasin Uddin, MRCP, presented a technical paper on hypertension care.
Dr Baren Chakraborty moderated the programme and led an interactive question-and-answer session. Speakers discussed international guidelines and urged regular blood pressure monitoring.
Dr Farooq Ahmad, Medical Director of Labaid Cardiac Hospital, thanked participants and reaffirmed Labaid’s commitment to heart health awareness.
