Ashton Kutcher finds himself amidst a growing controversy due to his recent backing of convicted rapist Danny Masterson.
The incident has also brought Kutcher’s connection to the 2001 Ashley Ellerin murder investigation back into the spotlight. Public criticism escalated when letters penned by Kutcher and his spouse, Mila Kunis, supporting Masterson became accessible to the public.
In a significant turn of events, one of the accusers of Masterson, Chrissie Carnell Bixler, confronted Kutcher openly through a social media platform. Bixler’s stern message to Kutcher contained grave accusations and hinted at concealed secrets tied to the day of Ellerin’s tragic demise. Bixler’s post intimated Kutcher’s alleged conversation with Masterson on that ill-fated night, suggesting a deep-rooted conspiracy and alleging Kutcher of harbouring the same malice as Masterson.
It is pertinent to note that Kutcher was one of the individuals who testified in the court proceedings against Ellerin’s killer, Michael Gargiulo. He had revealed that he had arranged to meet Ellerin on the night she was killed, having tried to contact her multiple times to no avail.

Upon reaching her residence, Kutcher recounted spotting what he presumed was a wine spill on her carpet. Unbestain was Ellerin’s blood, indicating that the crime had already taken place. The details of this night would later be confirmed by Deputy District Attorney Dan Akemon, painting a grim picture of what transpired.
Unsettled Allegations and Scrutiny
Although initially startled to discover his fingerprints were present at the crime scene, Kutcher was never classified as a suspect. He duly participated in the subsequent investigations. The actual perpetrator, Gargiulo, later nicknamed “The Hollywood Ripper,” was eventually handed a death sentence for his role in Ellerin’s murder and another similar crime in 2005. He awaits trial for a Homicide charge dating back to 1993 in Illinois.
Despite Kutcher’s cooperation during the investigation, his earlier involvement in the case has cast a shadow on his reputation, prompting a fresh wave of scepticism regarding his actions and moral standing. It should be noted, however, that Kutcher has not officially been implicated in any misconduct associated with Ellerin’s homicide.
