KSE suffers 81pts loss; 100-index drops to 32270pts

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange remained in bearish mood on first trading day as benchmark KSE 100-index fell 0.25 per cent, losing 81 points to drop to 32269.85 points till midday on Monday as the major quarter end results are due in current week.

The country’s biggest stock witnessed highest trading level of 32370.49 points and lowest trading level of 32180.73 points with the total volume of 91,548,000 shares, having Rs5,996,107,194 value.

The three top traded companies remained Pak Elektron with a volume of 21,784,000 and price per share of 59.74, Fauji Cement XD with a volume 12,225,500 and price per share of 32.79, and Maple Leaf Cement XD with a volume 10,426,000 and price per share of 63.12.

Earlier, the KSE took negative start and shed 103.87 points to 32247.06 points, with the total volume of 30,895,850 shares.

On Friday, the KSE closed in positive note and gained 337.02 points or 1.05 percent to reach 32013.91 points and volume of 211,987,280 shares.
