A Konotop Russian strike injured five people, including three children, in Ukraine’s Sumy region late on June 4 and into June 5, local authorities said.
Ukrainian reports said a Russian drone hit a private residential house in the city. Emergency teams extinguished a fire at the site and assessed damage to nearby homes.
Local authorities reported damage to several homesteads and disruptions to utilities in parts of Konotop. Repair crews worked to restore services after the strike.

The attack occurred amid a broader wave of Russian strikes across the Sumy region. Regional officials said Russian forces used drones, artillery and guided bombs against several communities over 24 hours.
Moscow has not issued an immediate comment on the Konotop strike and regularly denied targeting civilians during its war in Ukraine.
