The New York Knicks will chase their first NBA title since 1973 when they face the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals on Wednesday in San Antonio.
The series opens at Frost Bank Centre on June 3 at 8:30 p.m. ET, or 5:30 a.m. PKT on Thursday, according to NBA schedule coverage.
New York reached the Finals for the first Time since 1999 behind Jalen Brunson and an 11-game winning streak. The Knicks also posted a plus-271 point differential through 14 playoff games.
San Antonio reached the Finals behind Victor Wembanyama, who won Western Conference Finals MVP after the Spurs beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7.
The matchup repeats the 1999 NBA Finals, when San Antonio beat New York 4-1 to win its first league title. The Spurs now seek their sixth championship.

The Knicks will look to Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson against Wembanyama. Meanwhile, San Antonio will rely on De’Aaron Fox’s speed and playmaking to test New York’s defence.
