Chilean authorities have recovered six expensive watches stolen from Keanu Reeves’ Los Angeles home in December 2023, including a Rolex valued at $9,500, officials in Santiago announced.
The recovered timepieces, worth approximately $125,000, were handed over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which is arranging their return to Reeves.
TMZ reported that the recovery resulted from a joint operation between Chilean police and the FBI targeting a South American-based burglary ring that targeted the homes of prominent celebrities like Reeves and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Raids conducted in Santiago uncovered the stolen watches along with other stolen items such as luxury cars, iPhones, and designer purses.
In a related development, former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem recently visited Santiago to meet local officials regarding the transnational burglary gang and other security issues. Interestingly, Noem herself was a victim when her pocketbook was stolen by a Chilean national at a Washington D.C. restaurant earlier this year.

These incidents highlight the breadth and sophistication of cross-border theft rings operating in the region. Authorities continue to coordinate efforts to apprehend those responsible and safeguard public safety. Despite high-profile targets like Reeves and Noem, officials emphasise that no one is immune to these criminal networks.
