At least five suspects including ‘most wanted’ key leader Qari Abdur Raheem and operatives of gang war died today (Thursday) whereas three extortionists were detained in separate operations by police and Rangers in the troubled metropolis.
Rangers launched an operation in the area of Gulshan Buner and killed a key leader Qari Abdur Raheem of a banned outfit. According to the police, the suspect was involved in various criminal activities including target killing and bomb blasts.
On the other hand, during an encounter, two gangsters belong to Baba Ladla Group have been killed by police and Rangers at Mehmood Shah Road and Chakiwara. The suspects were wanted for many extortion cases.
Also, an exchange of firing took place in Napier in which police killed one suspect and detained another one in a critical state.
Moreover, during a search operation in industrial area, Rangers apprehended three extortionists named as Amir, Tahir and Sadam.
