Aiwan-e-Sadr Road in Karachi will be closed today from noon to 6 pm due to security measures, as confirmed by the traffic police.
The closure affects both directions between Fawara Chowk and Khajoor Chowk.
Authorities have arranged alternative routes to minimize disruption.
Commuters from Sharae Faisal to I.I. Chundrigar Road should use Din Muhammad Wafai Road via Fawara Chowk or take M.R. Kiyani Chowk towards Shaheen Complex.
For those moving from I.I. Chundrigar Road towards Sharae Faisal or Saddar, the recommended routes are via Shaheen Chowk to M.R. Kiyani Chowk or from Fawara Chowk to Sarwar Shaheed Road.
Traffic police have barred vehicle access to Aiwan-e-Sadr Road from M.R. Kiyani Chowk and advise commuters to adjust their travel plans accordingly.
In a separate incident, a water tanker struck and killed two motorcyclists near Naval Colony on the Baldia Hub River Road.
The tanker driver fled the scene.
Rescue teams arrived promptly, transporting the bodies of the victims, identified as 44-year-old Jamil and 30-year-old Muhammad Akbar, to Civil Hospital for necessary formalities.
