The Karachi Commissioner has released an updated price list for essential food items, including flour, chicken, and eggs.
While this list sets mill flour at Rs115 per kg, fine flour at Rs100 per kg, eggs at Rs240 per dozen, and chicken meat at Rs550 per kg, enforcement of these prices remains uncertain. Market rates consistently exceed these figures, with mill flour and fine flour each selling for Rs120 per kg, eggs for Rs260 per dozen, and chicken meat from Rs560 to Rs600 per kg.
Consumers have voiced their dissatisfaction, pointing out that despite the revised price list, there has been no actual decrease in market prices.
