Karachi Police shot dead a Lyari gangster in an encounter while 20 others were arrested in different crackdown on criminals all across the city of Karachi.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a raid at Surjani Town and arrested a target killer affiliated with a political party.
According to CTD sources, Shabbir Baloch alias Dahiri, a nephew of Lyari gangster Kaloo Current, was gunned down by law enforcement agencies in an encounter at Jhanjhaal Goth at Super Highway whereas his three accomplices managed to escape.
In another raid, Karachi Rangers took six suspects into their custody after carrying out a search operation at Surjani Town’s Scouts Colony area. The arrested suspects were shifted to an unknown place for interrogation.
Police arrested 13 suspected criminals, including two drug dealers and two fugitives, in raids at Pak Colony, Madina Colony, Peerabad and Manghopir areas of the metropolis. Weapons and drugs were also seized during the raids.
Moreover, unknown killers shot dead a man Liaquat in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri area of North Karachi. The victim was killed during a robbery attempt, police said.
