In a display of effective law enforcement, the Karachi police successfully intervened in a theft operation involving an automated teller machine (ATM), arresting a suspect involved in the crime.
The incident occurred in the Landhi Industrial Area, where two criminals forcefully entered an ATM booth of a local bank to loot cash; upon receiving a call from the bank’s security personnel, a police team from Shah Latif Town promptly responded to the situation. While they managed to capture one suspect on site, the other criminal escaped.
As per the police’s account, the criminals were caught in the act, just as they had broken the lock of the ATM and were about to steal the cash tray. The detained suspect has been taken into custody for further inquiries to locate and apprehend his accomplice.
Theft Attempt Foiled in Korangi Industrial Area
In a second incident, the Sindh police’s Madadgar-15 section prevented an ATM heist in Karachi’s Korangi Industrial Area and apprehended a thief. This shows the Karachi Police Department’s dedication to safeguarding the city’s economic assets and keeping the citizens secure.
