In Karachi’s bustling Nazimabad area, a remarkable act of valour captured the city’s attention. Surveillance footage reveals a delivery man’s quick reflexes and bravery as he single-handedly foiled an armed robbery.
The footage shows the unsuspecting worker outside a residence when a man clad in a traditional shalwar kameez approaches him on a motorcycle, brandishing a gun.
As the thief proceeded with the robbery, he forcibly took the delivery man’s possessions, which included cash and a mobile phone. However, in a surprising turn of events, the delivery man engaged with the assailant, managing to disarm him. Even though the robber managed to flee the scene, he left behind his motorbike hastily.
Another Act of Bravery on Karachi’s Streets
Karachi seems to be witnessing a trend of civilians standing up against crime. In a separate incident on Rashid Minhas Road, a mother-son duo bravely confronted two thieves on a motorbike who were attempting to rob their family. Displaying admirable courage, the woman and her son physically took on the robbers, apprehending one of them by knocking him off his feet. His accomplice, however, managed to evade capture.
Adding to the captured robber’s misfortunes, residents, angered by the audacity of the crime, physically retaliated against him. By the time he was handed over to the police, he had faced the collective wrath of the community.
