Three individuals lost their lives, and four workers sustained injuries after a building under construction collapsed near Qadri Masjid in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony No.5, as confirmed by rescue authorities.
Edhi Rescue’s report mentioned the recovery of another victim from the three-story structure, elevating the death count to three. Initially, they reported one fatality and an injured individual being transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
Korangi police’s official communication highlighted that the structure was still under construction. Upon the incident, both police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the location. The statement elaborated that of the eight workers on-site, four were safely evacuated with minor injuries and received medical attention. Unfortunately, four workers were suspected to be buried under the debris. Additionally, a nearby vendor also succumbed to the accident.
