A ‘rookie robber’ carried off a successful bank heist at the point of a faulty gun in Karachi’s Sakhi Hassan area Friday.
CCTV footage showed the apparently inexperienced burglar entered the bank unchecked and quite undramatically pulled a gun out scaring other customers and the staff away from the teller’s counter. It got more interesting when his handgun jammed in the middle of the holdup.
After removing the glass partition between the customer and teller the looter then managed to make his way into the area behind the cash counter and decamped with approximately Rs. 700,000.
Police have registered a case and an investigation has been launched.
