Kanye West has been implicated in a battery case in Los Angeles, where he allegedly punched a man accused of assaulting his wife, Bianca Censori.
TMZ reported that sources from the Los Angeles Police Department indicated that the altercation prompted West and Censori to depart from the scene quickly. Police are investigating and expect to interview the couple soon.
A spokesperson for West claims the confrontation began when the man assaulted Censori. According to the representative, the man inappropriately touched her and made unwelcome gestures.
“This wasn’t a simple bump,” the representative told TMZ. “He aggressively handled her, spinning her around and blowing kisses afterwards.”
The alleged attack occurred at the Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Boulevard, as per Fox 11.
Kanye West has previously faced similar allegations. In January 2022, he was involved in a battery case where it was alleged that he struck an autograph seeker multiple times outside a hotel. Despite the accusations, the case did not lead to charges against West; the LA City Attorney’s Office concluded that there was insufficient evidence to secure a conviction.
