Actor Johnny Depp appears as Ebenezer Scrooge in the first Johnny Depp Ebenezer trailer, released by Paramount Pictures ahead of the film’s November 13 theatrical debut.
The teaser introduces Depp as the “Master of Misfits” before revealing his version of the bitter Victorian miser. His character declares, “It’s good to be back,” as the footage previews a darker interpretation of Charles Dickens’ 1843 novella.
The cast includes Daisy Ridley as Emily Cratchit, Rupert Grint as Bob Cratchit, Sam Claflin as Fred, Andrea Riseborough as the Ghost of Christmas Past and Ian McKellen as Marley.

The trailer shows Scrooge confronting Bob Cratchit and reacting emotionally to Marley’s supernatural arrival. It uses the tagline, “The name you know. The story you don’t,” to signal changes to the familiar redemption story.
Depp ends the trailer with Scrooge’s signature “Humbug!” after Fred offers him Christmas and New Year greetings.
Ti West, known for “Pearl” and “MaXXXine,” directed the Paramount Pictures production. The studio previously described the film as a dramatic and stylised reimagining of the classic story and confirmed its November 13, 2026, cinema release.
The film’s first poster appeared on Instagram on July 23 and showed Depp’s snow-covered silhouette wearing Scrooge’s top hat.
