Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj-ul-Haq earlier today submitted his apology in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over his violation of election code of conduct.
Last week, the ECP had issued a notice to the JI chief after he addressed a public gathering in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, violating code of conduct for theelections.
“The respondent is firm believer of supremacy of law and Constitution and democratic process and its values, and not intended to violate the Constitution, law and democratic values,” Siraj-ul-Haq’s lawyer submitted on behalf of the JI leader.
