Singer and actor Jennifer Lopez celebrated the New York Knicks’ NBA championship on Instagram after their 94-90 Game 5 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
Lopez posted a video showing her shouting at a large screen during the final moments of the game. She congratulated the New York Knicks as NBA champions.
The “Atlas” star also recalled watching the Knicks’ earlier title runs while rushing home from set to follow Patrick Ewing, John Starks and Charles Oakley.
Lopez said New York had waited for years for the moment. She thanked the team for uniting the city and wrote that hard work, goodness and teamwork paid off.
The Knicks’ victory ended a 53-year title drought. The win sparked an emotional reaction from Lopez as a New Yorker and longtime supporter.

Lopez signed off her post with a message of support for the Knicks and a “Jenny” signature. Lopez recently starred in the romantic comedy “Office Romance” alongside Brett Goldstein.
