Actor Jennifer Lawrence has discussed breast surgery and her wish to feel confident as a mother in a new interview, after previously speaking publicly about plans for the procedure.
Speaking to The Cut in a profile published Tuesday, Lawrence said she wants to feel put-together during everyday parenting routines, including taking her children to school. “I want to be a sexy mom,” she said.
She explained that she wanted to appear organised at drop-off even on mornings when she had only just woken up and felt otherwise.
The profile describes breast surgery she has already undergone, rather than a procedure she is merely considering. Her earlier discussion of plans for surgery appeared in The New Yorker in October 2025.
Lawrence shares two sons with her husband, art gallery director Cooke Maroney, whom she married in 2019.
Her latest interview accompanied the launch of Mes, a haircare brand developed with biotechnology company Arcaea. Its initial collection includes a repair mask, restyling serum and volumising mist.
However, Lawrence has previously challenged speculation about procedures she has not had.
During a conversation with Kylie Jenner published by Interview on November 27, 2023, she denied having eye surgery. She attributed the changes people were discussing to makeup and explained that comparisons between photographs taken years apart overlooked ageing.

Lawrence was interviewing Jenner during that exchange, rather than appearing as the interview’s principal subject.
She discussed working with makeup artist Hung Vanngo and how his techniques had prompted assumptions about cosmetic procedures. Lawrence also rejected speculation that she had changed her nose, explaining that her face had changed as she grew older.
