Social media users are circulating unsupported death claims about Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan, sharing a black-and-white photograph bearing the dates “1954–2026”.
Posts presenting the image as a tribute have prompted concern among fans of the 72-year-old action star. No credible confirmation supports the claim that he has died.
Coverage of the rumours has pointed to Chan’s July 7 visit to Pei Chun Public School in Singapore. That appearance predates the current posts and cannot independently establish his present wellbeing.
During the visit, Chan spoke to pupils and sang “Hard to Say Goodbye”. Mothership documented the appearance in a report published that day, with photographs and videos from the school.

He encouraged pupils to pursue their ambitions and answered questions about filmmaking and performing stunts.
Chan’s career spans more than six decades. His films include “Rush Hour” and “Police Story”.
