Ivanka Trump plot allegations emerged Friday after the New York Post reported that an Iraqi national accused in a US terrorism case had targeted her for assassination.
The NY Post report said Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi allegedly sought revenge for the 2020 US drone strike that killed Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani. Sources told the Post that Al-Saadi had a blueprint of Trump’s Florida home.
The US Department of Justice said Al-Saadi faces six terrorism-related counts over alleged activity for Kata’ib Hezbollah and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The department said the case involved nearly 20 attacks and attempted attacks across Europe and the United States.
Al-Saadi was arrested overseas and transferred into US custody, the Justice Department said. US reports identified Turkey as the country where authorities arrested him.
The New York Post said Al-Saadi posted online threats and a map linked to the Florida area where Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner live. The White House did not respond to the Post’s request for comment.

Federal prosecutors accuse Al-Saadi of directing attacks against US and Jewish targets, including planned attacks in New York, Los Angeles and Arizona. A criminal complaint also describes alleged plots in Europe and Canada.
