Israel has initiated targeted strikes on military facilities in Iran, describing them as “precise strikes.” This action comes in retaliation for the October 1 incident during which Iran launched around 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. The early Saturday strikes resulted in explosions in Tehran and the nearby city of Karaj.
The Israeli military states these operations are responses to continuous assaults from Iran since October 7th, involving direct strikes from Iranian territory on seven different fronts. An AFP journalist in Tehran reported hearing multiple explosions during these latest strikes.
In a statement, the Israeli military expressed that the operations are aimed at precise military targets within Iran due to ongoing aggression from the Iranian regime and its regional allies. Daniel Hagari, a military spokesperson, highlighted the full mobilization of Israel’s defensive and offensive capabilities and advised the public to remain alert.
