Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a 24-hour gas shutdown in significant parts of Lahore from 1 AM on Thursday, December 28, until 1 AM on Friday, December 29.

This temporary suspension of gas supply is due to necessary construction activities related to the Orange Line Metro Train project.

The affected areas during this period will include key locales such as Nisbat Road, Queen’s Road, Lawrence Road, Qila Gujar Singh, Royal Park, the vicinity of the Governor House, Mayo Hospital, Ganga Ram Hospital, Gawalmandi, Abbott Road, Diyal Singh Mansion, Avari Hotel, Assembly Hall, Mozang, Davis Road, Mall Road, Canal Bank, and several other towns.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to make necessary preparations to mitigate the impact of the gas supply interruption. SNGPL has emphasized that this shutdown is essential for safely conducting the metro train project’s construction work, which is crucial for the city’s infrastructure development.
