Fans eagerly anticipate a possible deluxe edition of Eminem’s latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), which was released just a couple of days earlier.
Speculation surged after a fan on Shady Times, previously known as Twitter, questioned the absence of notable collaborators like Dr. Dre and 50 Cent from the album.
The fan highlighted an earlier appearance by 50 Cent and Dre on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where they hinted at their involvement in Eminem’s project. “Wasn’t 50 Cent and Dre confirmed they had features on Eminem’s album during the Jimmy Kimmel appearance? @Eminem, what you’re up to? Side B all over again,” the fan posted, stirring further curiosity.
Additionally, despite recent collaborations, the fans expressed surprise over the exclusion of Eminem’s close associate, Royce da 5’9″. “Pretty sure 50 said they got something coming, and they were talking about Em’s album at that point, not sure about Dre though, maybe he was talking about production. Also, no Royce on the album is wild; I feel like they worked on several songs in the last few months,” he added.
In March of 2024, during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, following Dr. Dre’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony, Dr. Dre, alongside 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg, discussed new music from Eminem. Dr. Dre confirmed Eminem was working on The Death of Slim Shady project and mentioned his role was in production rather than lyrical contributions. This interview fueled speculation about additional content related to Eminem’s new album.
